When you first begin book scouting you may feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of book you need to sift through. The goal is to narrow down your search and hone in on the sections that will lead to book scouting success. Over time you will find a pattern that works for you, but in the mean time you should try approaching sections that we discuss in this lesson.

As a general rule you will find that nonfiction books will sell for more and will be less picked over by the hoards of shoppers. These sections are a good place to start. That is not to say that you should ignore the fiction section. Buying fiction will require more knowledge but has the potential to be very profitable.
